Editing Audio Files \u2192<\/a><\/span><\/div>\n<div id=\"dbimpcontent\">\n<h2 class=\"title\">Loading and Saving Overtone Slider Layouts<\/h2>\n<p>If you have created a complex configuration of Overtone Sliders, you<br \/>\n      might want to save it so that it can be used again later. Overtone<br \/>\n      Analyzer will automatically remember the slider layouts for the last few<br \/>\n      audio recordings, but you can also explicitly save a slider layout so<br \/>\n      that you can use it for different audio files, or on their own.<\/p>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-184-Savingasliderlayout\"><\/a>Saving a slider layout<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Click on <span class=\"guimenu\">Sliders<\/span> \u2192 <span class=\"guimenuitem\">Save note slider layout<\/span> and specify where you want<br \/>\n      to save the layout file. The file type ending is .oa (for <span class=\"bold\"><strong>O<\/strong><\/span>vertone<br \/>\n<span class=\"bold\"><strong> A<\/strong><\/span>nalyzer Files).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-184-Loadingasliderlayout\"><\/a>Loading a slider layout<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Click on <span class=\"guimenu\">Sliders<\/span> \u2192 <span class=\"guimenuitem\">Load note slider layout<\/span> to open an existing .oa file.<br \/>\n      This will replace your current slider layout.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-1.6.5.5.5\"><\/a>Export note sliders as MIDI<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Click on  <span class=\"guimenu\">Sliders<\/span> \u2192 <span class=\"guimenuitem\">Export note sliders as MIDI<\/span> to save the current note slider layout into a MIDI file which can be played by many audio programs, and which can be imported as a note track into your music notation software. <\/p>\n<p>At the bottom of the export dialog you can choose if you want to export just the fundamental notes, or the fundamentals and the overtones. The latter option is only relevant if you have transcribed or composed a piece with overtones, where the Overtone Sliders have a fundamental, and at least one overtone. In that case the fundamentals and overtones will be exported as two separate voices.\n       <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"titlepage\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<h3 class=\"title\">\n<a name=\"id-184-Specifyingthedefaultlayoutfornewfiles\"><\/a>Specifying the default layout for new files<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>By default, when you create a new file, you will have a single overtone<br \/>\n      slider with a fundamental frequency of 220Hz (which is the note<br \/>\n      A3).<br \/>\n      If you simply want to change the number of displayed sliders, or turn<br \/>\n      sliders off for new documents, go to Options \/ Customize \/ Advanced<br \/>\n      Settings and change the Initial number of Overtone Sliders.<\/p>\n<p>You can also save a slider layout as DefaultSliderLayout.oa into<br \/>\n      the folder where <span class=\"application\">VoceVista Video Pro<\/span> is installed. After you restart the<br \/>\n      application, new documents will use this layout.<br \/>\n      Note: You still have to set the number of<br \/>\n      sliders to appear in the advanced options.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"prevNextLinks bottom\"><span class=\"prevLink\"><a href=\"\/en\/documentation\/program-reference\/loading-and-saving\/saving-images-and-screenshots\/\">\u2190 3.3.2.
