VoceVista.com is run collaboratively by an international team that brings together deep expertise in voice analysis, pedagogy, and software development. The project unites VoceVista LLC, now led by Niels Miller continuing the work of his father Donald Miller, and Sygyt Software, where Bodo Maass serves as both company founder and lead software developer of the current VoceVista software. Together, this collaboration has created comprehensive tools for voice analysis and teaching that serve both traditional voice pedagogy and specialized techniques like overtone singing. A detailed history of how these paths came together can be found on our history page.
Bodo Maass
Lead developer of VoceVista and founder of Sygyt Software, Maass brings extensive experience in voice analysis software development. With a background in Cognitive Science from Oxford University and expertise in human-machine interfaces and AI-based animation, he leads the technical development and evolution of VoceVista’s visualization capabilities. His experience as an overtone singer himself informs his approach to making complex voice analysis accessible and practical for users.
Wolfgang Saus

A leading overtone singer and voice researcher, Saus combines scientific training with classical singing expertise. His innovative teaching methods focus on developing the ability to perceive overtones in the voice. Through his “Choral Phonetics” method, he helps choir singers achieve better intonation by training them to hear their own overtones, enabling more precise control of their voice. VoceVista embodies the core principles of his method and research, making complex vocal phenomena accessible through visual feedback. As a key advisor to the software’s development, he continues to guide its evolution with clear, intuitive approaches to voice analysis.
Don Miller (1933-2020)

Founder of VoceVista, and a respected voice scientist, Miller’s research on singing voice acoustics and physiology laid the groundwork for modern voice analysis software. His work bridged the gap between scientific research and practical studio instruction, leading to innovations in digital feedback for singing instruction that continue to influence voice pedagogy today. Niels Miller

Niels Miller is the son and former business partner of Don Miller. In 2007, he co-founded EGGs for Singers (now known as VoceVista) with his father, and continues to lead the company following his father’s passing in 2020. Niels holds a master’s degree in African history and politics from UCLA’s African Studies Center. In addition to his role at VoceVista, he is a skilled double bassist, performing with various big bands, small jazz ensembles, as well as salsa and samba groups.
Krzysztof Jaros
An independent researcher and software developer from Poland, specializing in sound work and consciousness exploration, Jaros contributes his expertise in spectral signal processing and brainwave entrainment to VoceVista’s development. His background in singing bowl acoustics and therapeutic audio technologies adds unique perspectives to the team’s approach to voice analysis.
